What are Super Duplex Flanges?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Super Duplex alloy has features to prevent corrosion by chloride-containing cooling solutions and other aggressive chemical process fluids. A family of stainless steel known as duplex is characterized by its varying corrosion properties based on the composition of the alloy. They are called Duplex because of their mixed microstructure with about equal quantities of ferrite and austenite.<\/span><\/p>\n

Around 40-50 percent of the alloy’s ferrite is present during the annealing process. This microstructure combines the corrosion resistance of the austenitic grades with the strength of the ferritic grades, as well as the corrosion resistance of the super duplex. It is also highly resistant to sulfide-stress reinforcement corrosion in bitter conditions. Super Duplex Steel is a realistic remedy for chloride-induced stress cracking.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to oil and gas applications, seawater, subsea piping systems, heat exchangers, and other sectors,\u00a0<\/span>Super Duplex Steel F55 Flanges<\/span><\/a>\u00a0are known for their high impact strength.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chemical, pulp, and paper industries need steels that can withstand acids, acid chlorides, caustic solutions, and even high temperatures. High chromium content in Super-Duplex steels provides excellent resistance to these chemicals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Benefits of Super Duplex Flanges<\/span><\/h2>\n

1. Strong and durable flange.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Pitting resistance and crevice corrosion resistance.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. The material is highly resistant to corrosion fatigue and stress corrosion cracking.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Stress-corrosion cracking is highly resistant to chlorides.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Heat conductivity is high.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Good resistance to corrosion caused by sulfuric acid.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. Compared with austenitic steels, they have lower thermal expansion and greater heat conductivity.<\/span><\/p>\n
